I enjoy humor, critical thinking and exploring the underlying absurdity of all existence. I draw spiritual inspiration from Judaism, Christianity and Taoism.

Down and Out on California's Central Coast? Would you live in a Trailer Park if it was in Santa Barbara, California? Kind of tempting at only $299,000 though I'm not 55 yet as the community requires. redfin.com/CA/Santa-Barbara/…

Am I the only one who dislikes rainfall (ceiling mounted) shower heads? Particularly in hotels because they always blast me with cold water when I'm turning them on or off.

I early skipped #Shelter on my 18 our flight from Bangkok to San Francisco because I’ve seen enough formulaic Jason Statham action films, but I'm glad I watched it! ✈️ It was an obvious Jason Bourne clone, at times comically similar, yet still a captivating slow-burn build set against a rugged Irish landscape. In addition to the Bourne Identity the film had parallels with The Professional that I liked. Bill Nighy is fantastic as the British bad guy but 14yo breakout star Bodhi Rae Breathnach carries the movie. The chemistry between her and Jason are why I cited the professional as another similar movie. I'm looking forward to seeing Bodhi in future films.

This is a video demonstration of the custom Visual Restoration Therapy (VRT) software I've been developing with AI. It aims to improve and potentially restore vision in those with homonymous hemianopia through biofeedback and neuroplasticity, which the application facilitates. By using kinetic shapes, specific alpha/gamma flicker frequencies, and a "mirror stimulus" mode that can 'tickle' the blind/sighted transition zone, it incorporates protocols that go beyond existing blinking-dot methods. It is an unproven project that I'm currently testing on myself in combination with a transcranial photobiomodulation laser helmet, so the code is not publicly available yet. However, I wanted to share how it functions with medical professionals, family members, and anyone else who'd like to deepen their understanding of homonymous hemianopia and the limited treatment options currently available for this visual disability. I'm hearing that the first 500 employees at SpaceX each stand to make at least $100 million when it IPOs. Many more will become multimillionaires. But beware... The tax man and woman cometh.

Even in Bangkok, surrounded by the world's best Thai food, sometimes you need a Bánh mì.

It's interesting how many alternative theories exist about cholesterol, particularly the belief that LDL can be beneficial. This confusion often arises from the potential for side effects statins have, leading to conspiracy theories about Big Pharma and medical professionals being evil or misinformed. Yes, some are. However, the risks of clogged arteries and the consequences of arterial failure should not be ignored or managed with unproven remedies. Various gurus claim mastery of anatomy and medicine until one of their blood vessels bursts, and we realize they were quacks who got lucky for a while. Many, like myself, have a genetic predisposition to high LDL levels, which remain elevated regardless of diet or exercise, so oatmeal and gym time aren't enough. For years, I avoided statins due to fear of muscle pain and brain fog... legitimate concerns, but there are ways to manage them. I eventually learned that taking genuine Ubiquinol along with a low dose of statins (5 mg Rosuvastatin) keeps my bad cholesterol in check without side effects. If there is eventually a safe single shot that can replace statins, I'll go for it. I don't want a stroke to wipe out what I've worked hard to maintain. I take this with the statin. I have no affiliation with this company.
Eli Lilly has done it. They've gone and made what seems to be a powerful, permanent gene therapy for LDL cholesterol. That means they'll be able to effectively prevent most heart disease with a single infusion!

For all its talk of fighting Climate Change, I wonder if California is actually one of the worst polluters in the nation? Between epic fires due to poor land management and chemical explosions from improper handling of chemical waste, they may have polluted the air and sea more than any other state in the United States over the past few years. The state has become emblematic of political pandering and feel-good aspirational legislation that does very little to solve real-world problems. * This is not meant to start a debate about the reality (or not) of man-made Climate Change. But we can all agree that we need clean air and water. Yet California policies and actions have been threatening both.

I just realized I was shot in the same targeted zone through the brain where Trump was nearly hit and I survived but I was 14 and it hasn't been easy.
Pondering how close we came to the most evil people alive constantly mocking us with, and subjecting us to, hi-res videos of Trump being shot in the head. I still to this day thank God that didn’t happen.

Biohacking my traumatic brain injury with lasers # 4 This video covers my experience 1 month into using the Weber Brain Pro laser helmet to address cortical damage and long-term visual field loss from my traumatic brain injury, which caused homonymous hemianopia and other cognitive challenges. Lesson learned: More laser power isn't always better. 100% continuous-wave max sessions disrupted my sleep cycle, forcing a protocol shift to a 10Hz pulse for 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week. The brain respects a biphasic dose-response—it needs rest days to avoid overwhelming neurons, just as the body does with any form of exercise. The core strategy now is metabolic priming. Immediately after a session—while mitochondrial ATP, BDNF, and blood flow are spiked—I run custom visual restoration software I built to target the transition zone of my blind field, aiming to expand it. The goal is to train the intact superior colliculus to pick up light and shadow (blindsight) in this region.
