Astros pitching staff’s era has increased a full run (3.86 to 4.85) after losing Murphy.
Reds have the 2nd worst bullpen statistically with Oscar Marin - Pirates 2025 pitching coach - as their bullpen coach.
Problem isn’t Murphy, it’s the pitchers aren’t very good.

The Pirates have fallen to 17th in MLB Team ERA. They were 7th last year.
Season isn’t over, but this has been a grave disappointment. You were hoping the young staff full of arm talent would be even better this year, but it hasn’t been the case. Is Murphy the problem?
