I struggle to find the words to express the sadness, shock, and devastation we are all feeling right now. There aren't enough positive words to describe Matt as a person; he was truly one-of-one. He treated everyone with the utmost respect. I miss him already, and I'm praying for his family, friends, fellow scouts, the hockey community, and our organization as we all mourn this loss.
The Portland Winterhawks Hockey Club is deeply saddened by the news that Matt Davidson, our Director of Player Personnel, has passed away.

Those are the only two dmen to accomplish that stat line since before 1996/97 when the @pdxwinterhawks record book changed the criteria for "Big Offensive Performance" from 5 points to 4 points. There have been a lot of 4 point games from dmen, but only these 2 with 2-2-4.

Impressive night for Ondřej Štěbeták between the pipes as he sets a new career best in saves.
His previous record in the regular season was 46 against Prince George on 11/1/24, and a playoff high of 49 in Game 4 against Prince George on 4/2/25.

This is a signing Portland fans should really get excited about! Dozark is player who will make an immediate impact next season and surely turn some heads!
Easton Dozark is one of the top 2010-born defensemen in the U.S. and is already 6’1” and 185 pounds as a 15-year-old.
He helped his Moorhead Bantam AA team to a national championship last year with an outstanding 34 goals and 35 assists in 55 games.

What a finish to the end of the game in Everett for the @pdxwinterhawks against Seattle.
The Thunderbirds scored a pair of goals in the final 2:46, including with 39 seconds left, to tie the game at four.
Then, 18 seconds after Tai Riley’s tally, Kayd Ruedig picks a corner off a pass from Sam Spehar.
Winterhawks win 5-4

Winterhawks strike twice on special teams, once while shorthanded (McDonough) and the other on a five-minute major power play (Duguay), to take a 3-1 advantage to the second intermission.
Blake Clark exited with 10:30 left in the 2nd period as Tyler DiCarlo came in. Portland has split the goaltending time this weekend. Clark finished with 23 saves on 24 shots.

Winterhawks and Thunderbirds are tied at one after the first period.
Blake Clark, making his WHL preseason debut, was strong in goal, stopping 22-of-23, as Seattle came out firing.
Nathan Free converted on the power play for Portland. Jordan Duguay and Will McLaughlin picked up the assists.
