So proud to stand with the fierce women of Dupage County 👊🏾. These are the champions who helped turn DuPage into BluePage, and we are so fortunate to have them in Springfield doing the work.

I am thrilled to share that Governor Pritzker has signed HB2189, the Access to Affordable Insulin Act! I am proud to have worked to develop an insulin discount program in addition to reducing the insulin copay cap for state regulated health plans from $100 to $35. #insulin4all

On June 19, 1865, 250,000 slaves finally received word that slavery had been abolished. 156 years later, we are still building the dream of freedom, prosperity and equality for all. Illinois joins 25 other states in celebrating Juneteenth today as a federal holiday. #Juneteenth

Almost 250 years ago, the Second Continental Congress officially adopted the first national flag. While that flag looked very different from what we have today, the message remains the same. It is the symbol of freedom. #BetsyRoss #AmericanHistory

Millions of Americans know first hand the struggles of fighting cancer, whether you have been diagnosed or you've watched the struggle of people you love. Today, let's celebrate those who've fought the battle and won, as well as those continuing the fight. You are true survivors.

Nearly 24,000 people in America take their lives with a gun every year—an average of 65 deaths a day. Disrupting access to guns in times of crisis can save lives. I #WearOrange to shine a light on this heartbreaking, and often preventable, crisis. In Illinois, dial 988 for help.

Illinois is the prairie state. However, many of these areas are in danger from construction and urban development. On #NationalPrairieDay, we hope you will take a moment to appreciate the beauty of Illinois' prairies and consider how you might be impacting them.
