An absolute tragedy fell upon the RCSD community yesterday when a young girl took her own life. Should any of my friends feel they are not worthy to live life in this world, I am here for you. You deserve life and all the joy and love that it brings. #translivesmatter🏳️⚧️ #onercsd

Today was…hard. I started my teaching career 21 years ago at RCSD. My last 11 at Edison. Saying goodbye was heartwrenching. I’m gonna need some time to have my emotions and then I will pull myself up and have an impact on 🖤💛💚 RH 💚💛🖤 thank you @jacobscott101 @RCSDNYS

Yesterday and today have been 2 of the hardest days of my teaching career. Announcing to staff and students that I am leaving for a new position in a different district after 20 years has hit me HARD. The hardest part is telling the kids. 💔

My classroom has and will always be a safe space. Today was filled with kids during lunches that just wanted to “be”. One child - “Hey Ms Mac, can I draw on the board?” Absolutely. And then he does this. “Ms. Mac, can you keep this?” Absolutely.
