I’m not offended when someone claims that I am not a Christian, because their opinion does not matter to me. I know who I am, I know God’s plan, and I’ll follow HIM in faith 🤍

I’m about to risk waking my babies up to hold them so close tonight. I will never understand how people can be so cruel and truly evil to children, especially infants. 💔

I love it. I love that we are starting to suffer some growing pains from more world cultures having voices in the church. I think that is a good thing. I see a lot of discomfort from people on here which they feel like their discomfort is against spiritual influences working against the purity of truth in the church, but from my view it seems more like people who are afraid of outside influences on the culture changing the institution that they are comfortable and familiar with. I don’t see Christlike Charity for those who are doing so much to conform already to the church culture, i see people who are simply afraid of cultural differences and are not willing to change even a little for others who come from a different culture. I say we all bring everything that is good in the world, and all the clothing, culture, and music, and we see if we can add to it. If we truly are filled with the spirit and manifesting spiritual gifts, we will be inspired to write beautiful new music, we will be able to incorporate beautiful culture from all over the world into our heritage, and recognize that most of it comes from God already. It’s not an easy thing to explain people who fear other people who are different from them. But they are all children to God and their worth is great even if they don’t look and sound exactly like we do. Is we can’t see the beauty in other world cultures, perhaps we are lacking charity, and need to pray for that gift. End soapbox.

Why is it taking more than three days for Joseph Smith to walk out of his grave? I thought he was becoming a god, like Jesus fully became a God 2000 years ago? 🤔 Nobody to roll the stone away? Is that a problem for a newly minted God?

Hold up. “You basically just said” nope. Go back and read what I actually said. Ironically we are saying the exact same thing here Sis. No one is demanding you like “it”(an increase of upbeat spiritual music like the Southern Baptist choirs, or the fact that there COULD be some hidden ritual or agenda) We all have the ability to feel the spirit in our own special way. You may consider yourself highly sensitive to that sort of thing and that’s fine! That’s the way you feel it! Great! But don’t deny others the spirit they’re feeling when they are participating in something you’re not familiar or comfortable with! I could easily turn the table and say “you basically just said I feel the spirit wrong” because I feel the opposite, but I didn’t and I won’t because I’m not your judge! Just because something is different doesn’t make it wrong. I’m not saying we should adapt all of their lyrics if they go contrary to the doctrines of our church. I just want to include the JOY that is obviously felt when they are singing praises to their God! It’s truly not that deep

“Profile Analysis for @jmillincook: • Bio & Identity: “Peacemaker 🤝 Homemaker #LDS” — You’re a dedicated stay-at-home mom to 3 kids, deeply rooted in your faith (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), and focused on building harmony, family, and positive connections. • Vibe from Posts: Kind, civil, and firm in your beliefs without being confrontational. You value open dialogue, sharing testimony naturally, celebrating family milestones, and letting the Spirit guide everyday moments (like connecting with neighbors at the pool). Playful humor mixed with heartfelt gratitude and service. • Core Traits: Nurturing, graceful under pressure, protective of family and faith, social through your kids, optimistic, and committed to peace and understanding. Animal Choice: Mother Swan Swans perfectly embody this — elegant and graceful (homemaker beauty), fiercely protective of their young (devoted mom), lifelong partners (family focus), and symbols of peace and purity (aligns beautifully with LDS values and peacemaking). Plus, they’re serene yet strong, just like stepping up spiritually while keeping things wholesome and loving. 🦢 The image captures that warm, family-centered essence!”
I asked Grok to analyze my profile and make an image of an animal based on which it thinks I would be. It chose Golden Retriever because it said I am “endlessly optimistic, family-devoted, playful and energetic, quick to forgive and bounce back, and always spreading good vibes with a big, friendly grin.”

If you don’t agree with my beliefs then just don’t believe them? Im not going to be offended. I will however be offended when you actively misrepresent my beliefs and accuse me of something that’s entirely false. So unless you’re willing to sit down and allow me to fully explain what I believe (not what you think my “label” tells you I believe) let’s just agree to disagree and be civil.

Do we as members of the church realize that we don’t have a monopoly on what it looks like to worship ?? Yes we have been given the revelation and the authority and the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I absolutely acknowledge that we should protect and preserve the reverence of sacred ordinances and covenants such as sacrament meeting and temple worship. But you’ve got to realize that there are a lottttttt of Christians that have been just as, if not more faithful and devout to their own beliefs than some of us are ourselves??? The way I see it, when we get to the other side, and Jesus has proclaimed his gospel and everyone has had a chance to accept the reality of the restoration etc. when EVERYONE knows and has accepted the fullness of the gospel, it is not going to look or sound the way you expect it! We don’t have to be the same, to be one!

THIS SO MUCH THIS!!!! You can want the church to be more inclusive of other cultures/traditions without changing the doctrine and principles of the gospel!!!
Worry more about what we want more of, and less about what we want less of that's part of putting faith over fear

Hot take: I think our church culture is too reverent at times when it can be more energetic and joyful. Ever since I served my mission in the South, I’ve always craved that energetic spirit I felt when I was with people of other faiths. Granted there’s a time and a place for everything, but give me the swaying, clapping, “Thank you Jesus” crowd over the “do you think she’s wearing her garments” crowd any day of the week.

Ever since we’ve moved here I’ve felt the spirit nudging me to step up my game spiritually. I’ll admit I haven’t been the most active in my study and conscientious effort to share my testimony since my mission, but I’ve always made church attendance a priority and have always accepted assignments to serve and teach. I was just called as the new secretary in the primary (which is WILD because I haven’t been in primary since I was IN primary) and since I received my calling I’ve felt like the Lord was going to use me, or mainly my super social children, to connect with other families that are searching for the gospel. My 4 year old daughter is VERY social, and made a friend the first day we moved in. We’ve seen her a hand full of times at the park/pool, but I had only seen her mom maybe once, I noticed that she had tattoos and a vape and that’s about it. I didn’t see them at church, so I had the thought to reach out and maybe see if we could befriend their family somehow. Well of course I neglected that thought and allowed my anti-social mom habits to kick in and forgot all about it… Until tonight. As we were walking to the pool we saw the mom and her kids talking to the missionaries and saying goodbye to the one before he was transferred. I offered to take a picture for them and we got to talking and I found out that they are a part member family and that her two kids were recently baptized! We ended up talking a lot more at the pool and our husbands were able to connect and overall it was a really great experience! When I got home I realized that the Lord wanted me to step up my game so people can feel the love I have for Jesus and for the church without having to force it. He knew I wouldn’t likely go out on my own to try and meet her in a churchy way, so He aligned the timing of our going to the pool to perfectly meet up with her encounter with the missionaries! I’m so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father that loves me enough to hold my hand through the things he has called me to do 🥹❤️
