I've committed to an alt-layout some weeks ago. It's a very painful and laborious process but I just hit a new PB and 50wpm consistently now. Worth the effort for me (👋RSI) and I should have done it earlier. Still nowhere close to my prev speed😔
We don’t blame a restaurant for offering an unhealthy dish on their menu. I don’t have to eat it and if I’d want to that’s my choice but we start to declare what belongs on the menu and what not. It’s getting more and more ridiculous
Reading more on the @Spotify GDPR issue and having to deal with a Google fonts recently I wonder: if a user visits a website, why is it the person delivering the website that has to ensure the client isn’t loading resources they don’t want? 1/n
If you don’t want to load data from a CDN then don’t. That’s your choice. Block the host name. Confirm every external resource that’s loaded. But how did this become the burden of the person offering the website.
