DUXBURY: SOFTBALL Spotlight Stars – Last week of 2026 regular season May 21, 2026. Duxbury finished the 2026 regular season week with 3 games and several stars that shined that deserved extra recognition for their outstanding performances under Head Coach Charlie Finn. Catherine Grimaldi: Catherine Grimaldi finished the last game of the 2026 regular season on May 21, 2026, against Marshfield with a bang as she hit a home run, had 2 singles, scored 1 run and had 4 RBIs. On May 20, 2026, against Plymouth North, Catherine Grimaldi had 3 hits (double, 2 singles) scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. On May 19, 2026, against Hingham, Catherine Grimaldi had 2 hits including a home run, single, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. Catherine Grimaldi finished the 3-game week with 2 home runs, 1 double, 5 singles and 8 RBIs. Jodi Soderstrom: Jodi Soderstrom finished the last game of the 2026 regular season with another multi-hit game for the week as she had 2 hits (double, single) 1 walk, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. On May 20, 2026, against Plymouth North, Jodi Soderstrom had 4 hits including a home run and 3 singles, scored 3 runs and had 3 RBIs. On May 19, 2026, against Hingham, Jodi Soderstrom had 3 hits that included 2 home runs,.1 double, scored 2 runs and had 6 RBIs. Jodi Soderstrom finished the 3-game week with 3 home runs, 2 doubles, 4 singles and 11 RBIs. Avy Thompson: Avy Thompson finished the last game of the regular season on May 21, 2026, against Marshfield with a multi-hit game as she had 2 hits (2 singles) scored 3 runs and had 1 RBI. On May 20, 2026, against Plymouth North, Avy Thompson had 3 hits (triple, 2 singles) and scored 2 runs. On May 19, 2026, against Hingham, Avy Thompson had 3 hits (3 singles) scored 3 runs and had 1 RBI. Avy Thompson finished the week with 1 triple, 7 singles and 2 RBIs. Bria McCone: Bria McCone, only an eighth grader on the varsity team finished the last game of the 2026 regular season against Marshfield with 1 hit (single) 1 walk and in the circle tossed 4 strikeouts. DUXBURY VS. HINGHAM: SOFTBALL Duxbury 15 Hingham 4 May 19, 2026. Duxbury defeated Hingham 15-4. Duxbury’s Jodi Soderstrom had a powerful game as she hit a 2-run home run in the second inning, a 2-run home run in the fourth inning, doubled and had 6 RBIs. Duxbury’s Catherine Grimaldi hit a solo home run to center field in the fourth inning, singled, scored 2 runs and had 2 RBIs. Duxbury’s Mikaela Morgan hit a 2-run home to center field in the sixth inning for her first high school varsity career home run and had 3 RBIs in the game. Also contributing for Duxbury with a least a hit and RBI: Avy Thompson had 3 hits (3 singles) scored 3 runs and had 1 RBI. Emma Thibedeau 1 hit (single) and 1 RBI. Elizabeth Carroll 1 hit (single) and 1 RBI. Duxbury’s Bria McCone pitched a great game striking out 9 batters in 6 innings to earn the win in the circle. Jodi Soderstrom: “The win felt absolutely amazing. Bria started the game and owned the mound, then Frankie came in and shut it down. Our bats came alive, and we were up and cheering the whole time. We wanted the win and did everything we could to get it.”

Half way through the regular season and all the winter workouts are paying off! Helping my team @SoftballDuxbury through the first 8 games with and avg of .429, 10 RBI’s, and 13 runs scored. Continuing to work on and off the field everyday! @leclaircoach @RITG_Leclair

I had 2 goals this winter, getting stronger and hitting better. Mission accomplished! Worked with @StrongestMatt for 2 months and hit 3 PR’s, including a 300 lb. deadlift. And worked with @SangilloJohn to improve movement and awareness. @RITG_Leclair @thunderjam134
