#Saturation warfare comes down to 5 numbers: fire channels, magazine depth, leakers, cost-per-effect, and time. All 5 are now moving in one direction & #IntelligentMass is the reason. My new piece on why 2026 is the year the race tips. #ComethTheSwarm sameerjoshi73.medium.com/the…

Pakistan Army & airforce are gradually opertionalising HQ-9 SAM across 🇵🇰 as an integrated 'iron grid' to cover eastern border from north to south HQ-9P variant is 125 km HIMAD and operated by army air defence corp HQ-9B variant is 260 km LR-SAM and operated by PAF in few numbers (units are still being delivered) They are meant for general A.D against high flying or big targets but do possess 25 km engagement range against cruise missiles if detected on-time. 1st ever combat debut of any HQ-9 across the globe occured during 7th may 2025 aerial battle when one 🇮🇳 aircraft was shotdown in Akhnoor sector of J&K warning shot was fired beyond NEZ, against indian navy P-8i MPA to deter ISR mission CIWS & LOMAD systems being employed now by creating an "CLIAD" in Pakistan via sensor fusion. HQ-9B do possess basic capability against tactical ballistic missiles if network centric mode is employed but range & altitude factors limit its usage.

B-29 Superfortress Emergency Ditching off Iwo Jima (May 26, 1945) 🇺🇸 Rare color footage shows a damaged B-29 Superfortress (Circle R, 6th Bomb Group, 313th Bomb Wing based on Tinian) making an emergency water landing after losing two engines during a night mission over Tokyo. The massive bomber skims across the ocean surface before coming to a stop just off Iwo Jima. The successful ditching allowed the entire crew to escape safely. Following the capture of Iwo Jima, the island's airfields and surrounding waters became a vital lifeline for crippled B-29s returning from Japan.

A new GAO report finds only 44% of US F-35 jets are mission capable and just 25% can perform their full range of missions, meaning 3 in 4 are limited or grounded at any given time. The fleet more than doubled from ~450 to 800 aircraft since 2021, overwhelming a sustainment system already plagued by software delays, spare parts shortages, and corrosion. Fixing it will cost an additional $13.7 billion through 2031, and readiness may get worse before it improves. Source: Air and Space Forces

First truly modern A2G avionics suite, capability wise. Every American aircraft to date has built off the standards it set. Even if was only for a short part of the war, still crazy to think guys were bombing bridges in Vietnam using CCIP with a full HUD.

The “Wardog TRN” is a radio repeater UAV made by the Ukrainian company Roboneers. It can carry 3 kg of retransmission equipment to a height of 900 meters and stay there for one hour. This yields a radio horizon of 120 km (d ≈ 4.12 × √h), handy for controlling mid-range UAVs.
Russian blogger Alexander Karchenko describes how increased Ukrainian mid-range UAV attacks this year are decimating Russian logistics: 1/ [Russians are hit by Ukrainian “Hornet” strike UAV]

Russia is not standing still. Ukraine intercepts up to 90% of Russian aerial attack weapons. So Russia is engineering its way around that 90%. But here is what makes that engineering possible: Western components. Microchips. Microcomputers. Moving through grey import channels — supplied, knowingly or not, by companies in countries that have imposed sanctions on Russia. Without that foreign microelectronics supply chain, Russia could not integrate AI guidance into its Shahed variants. Could not build EW resistance into its drones. Could not improve Kh-101 precision. Could not modernise its strike arsenal at the pace it is moving. Ukraine’s State Research Institute for Testing and Certification of Armaments just briefed domestic and foreign journalists on exactly what Russian engineers have been building with those components — and what every air defence planner and sanctions enforcement agency needs to understand. 🧵👇

Russian blogger “Rybar” claims that 60% of Ukrainian long-range strike UAVs are launched without a warhead. Their purpose is to saturate Russian air defenses and force them to engage, because decoy UAVs cannot be distinguished from armed ones. 1/
The “FT-1” (Flying Target-1) UAV by the Ukrainian company Unmanned Technologies was originally developed for training air defense systems. It has also been used as a decoy to distract and saturate Russian air defenses when accompanying long-range strike UAVs like the FP-1. 1/
