Building in Toronto during the summer vs building in the winter has way different energy. Everyone just remains locked in from November to April but in the summer the city is so alive

I’ve had a goal running in codex for like 2.5 days now, I paused midway to commit and merge. At what point do I stop this thing lol

First chat I tried with Fable 5 was a security review of my own repo to see if I could improve anything, and it immediately just triggered a policy violation for cyber safeguards??

Gm Toronto, blessed to finally have some consistently nice weather

1 day review of Opus 4.8; not seeing much performance difference in my day to day but the workflow feature is really nice for monorepo scans and getting things done a lot faster for large scale tasks

Yeah Opus 4.8 is so much better........ @claudeai Really glad its got sharper judgement

Turns out I flew out of Toronto tech week and right into Boston tech week

First time flying @JetBlue and gotta say the wifi is actually usable and I can actually fit my laptop between me and the seat in front. Good stuff.

When your Go train breaks down and you have to sit here for 1.5 hours waiting on them to get a new train to bring me 2km further into union 🥀

The difference in usability of AI coding tools from last May to this May is actually insane. It’s like comparing horse and buggy to Ferrari or Waymo

Explain how I went from using 18gb ram and nearly being maxed out then upgraded to a mbp max with 36gb ram and am pushing like 32gb used for basically the exact same things open

Anyone got a sneaky good dev tool that they added to their daily workflow and saw significant improvements in any piece of their daily work?

So many Toronto tech week events I’ve got no clue which to even consider at this point

Uhhh… Isn’t this what they were trying to avoid? Those who knew how to breach it now have its power, surely they could’ve used Mythos itself to prevent this breech if it’s so powerful?
NEW: A small group of "unauthorized users" have reportedly breached Anthropic's tightly restricted Claude Mythos.
38
Hold on a sec, it can exhibit reckless excessive measures when it fails. And it's also way more powerful now.... So the recklessness is even worse than we've seen with Opus?? Uh-oh
Claude Mythos is the start of the end. I think this is my psychosis moment.

Meanwhile the codex team just reset weekly limits for people to be able to try out their new plugins…
Mar 26
To manage growing demand for Claude we're adjusting our 5 hour session limits for free/Pro/Max subs during peak hours. Your weekly limits remain unchanged. During weekdays between 5am–11am PT / 1pm–7pm GMT, you'll move through your 5-hour session limits faster than before.

Did anthropic vibe code too close to the sun???

Fast mode on Codex could've saved me almost an entire day of work last week - worth the 2x usage in my eyes considering I didn't even do too much with codex during that time

Anthropic shipping claude updates faster than people can even adapt to using the latest tool is crazy
