I feel like @LemonLymancom will get a kick out of this. I pinky swear I made no modifications to this screenshot of a Netflix search from last night (other than cropping the section of the screen, of course). This is Netflix' unvarnished response to my query. 😂

Never do favors for anyone who thinks THEY'RE doing YOU a favor by deigning to allow you to help them. General advice, but particularly for fellow GNU/Linux users who get baited by MS Windows users with the "you should be happy I'm even willing to consider switching" attitude.

It's becoming even more increasingly obvious that the Rapist-in-Chief really is getting all his marching orders from Putin. I bet he thought this special military operation would be done in three days.

OK so I know most of you "if you're not breaking the law, you have nothing to hide" people have no idea what's happening in other states, much less outside the US, so just FYI in Australia they have to submit photo ID to use Google now, because tHiNk Of ThE cHiLdReN. We're next.

Well, this Tweet is aging a lot better than I hoped it would. Guess I'll go ahead and post this followup now, in case it moves to conclusion and I get locked out (there may be some things I can't live without and have to submit to the digital ID, but this site ain't one of 'em).

There may be one piece of good news, when it comes to this ridiculous Epstein release (I know, clinging to the copium): If they could have scrubbed the files, they would have just released alternate versions with The Rapist protected (and possibly, their enemies... 1/

...it means the original files do exist...so there's still a chance they might find their way to the right place (the victims' lawyers) eventually. On the other hand, the realist in me has to acknowledge that the original files may have long been burned (either physically... 3/

...or metaphorically), and they're just releasing a bunch of black bars that they figure are about the length that people who know _something_ about the contents would expect. If that's true, we'll never know unless/until the whole DOJ is purged of child-rapist protectors. //

Hey @TheCinesthetic: I've got a movie-making question that I think you might have the background for. Obviously trailers are (usually) a thing regardless, but in general principle...do filmmakers make creative decisions based on an assumption that you've watched... 1/

...the trailers before the movie? Wait, I just realized I may have the cart before the horse here. Does the filmmaking crew _make_ the trailers in the first place? Or is that something the publisher does, so for example the director wouldn't have any input/knowledge? //

Is there a reason why @X doesn't show you when/if your reply gets interaction from the author of what you replied to (like, reply, bookmark*, etc.), or is that just a missing feature? * Maybe not bookmark, 'cause I guess that'd be info exposure compared to the current UI

A question I'd like to ask @signalapp, @SimpleXChat, and other similar projects: If this #ChatControl stuff requires code changes, will you: 1. ...stop serving the EU market altogether? 2. ...make a separate #ChatControl version with backdoors? 3. ...backdoor the main version?

Hey @SenSchumer and @RepJeffries: I know this probably won't reach y'all, but for my own heart I need to know that I said it: Good job on sticking to your guns with this shutdown. Part of me feels like an ass saying it, 'cause I'm not personally affected by... 1/

Hey @Dictionarycom: Got a feature request. Can you make it so a word lookup link shows the word itself in the generated thumbnail/summary? This screenshot is what it looks like now; perhaps that second line could look like: Dictionary.com | shenanigans | Meanings...

FWIW, it looks like that part of the summary is coming from the "content" attribute of the "twitter:title" meta element: <meta data-react-helmet="true" content="Dictionary.com | Meanings &amp; Definitions of English Words" name="twitter:title"/>

Hey @X, when someone follows you, the notification message should show which item they followed you from. This "item source" should also be saved for users you mute/block, in case you ever need a reminder in the future.

x.com/jordienr/status/198529… My favorite satire, where it blooms in 3 phases: 1. "Haha, a CSS joke." 2. "Hold up, this is too serious, they're talking about environmental impact; 'tailwind' must be about aerodynamics." 3. "WAIT." Bravo, @jordienr! This is how you architect a Tweet!

🚨🇪🇺 BREAKING 🇪🇺🚨 The EU has officially passed the Tailwind Classname Regulation Act (TCRA-359.3). According to EU bureaucrats, “each additional class emits 0.4g of CO₂” and “classnames like bg-neutral-900/70 backdrop-blur-md are environmentally unsustainable.” Websites exceeding 30 Tailwind classes must now offset their carbon footprint by planting 1 tree per 10 classes, or face fines of up to €1000 per class.
