Just had a phone call from a Catholic priest in Whitehaven thanking me for campaigning for the Woodhouse coking coal mine. He had been brought up in the area and was now the priest. Interesting how people who know the area support the mine and those who aren’t sometimes don’t.🤨

Superb makes me chuckle even at 5am . In real life the best political leader in the UK at present.

Stop scrolling and click this clip: it's the best thing you'll hear today. Unless you've been listening to Paul Weller, but you get the gist.

Geoffrey Acland stood 5 times as the Liberal Candidate for Westmorland. This was his calling card from the 1951 election. Tim’s offices are named after him. Geoffrey died tragically when standing as MP in 1964.

John was canvassing in Keswick today and took time to inspect the flood works and talk to local residents about them. Contact John if you want to make a point.

One Lib Dem proposal which will help the High St will be to abolish business rates and replace them with a value on the site only. The tax will be levied on the landlord not the tenant. Ask me if you want to know more.

This man is brilliant!
This man is 10/10 on fire. 🔥 BBC screws up and accidentally interviews a Remainer... then can’t stop him.

My grandfather and his father were cobblers in Wigton. These are my grandmother’s clogs. I was brought up in Wigton where the cobblers had become a drapers. Lots of local links.

I was privileged to lay a wreath at the Remembrance Day ceremony in Whitehaven yesterday. I enjoyed meeting and talking to Trudy and Tony my Tory and Labour opposition. The pie and peas afterwards was excellent. I hope we can continue the whole of the election in that way

Privileged to meet with Alice Taylor the manager of the Whitehaven Food Bank. They gave out 1,635 adult and children’s meals in2018/19 more or less the same as the year ago. One cause is the Family Credit system which leaves people without income for too long.
