My 14 year old son calls me a Casual and I don’t even know in what context he means. Multiple contexts I assume.

History's first trillionaire is a guy who catches rockets out of the sky with chopsticks and beams internet to every dead zone on the planet. Same guy ships cars that drive themselves, humanoid robots for the factory floor, brain chips that let paralyzed people move a cursor with pure thought, and an AI running on a supercomputer his team stood up in months instead of years. And the people crashing out about his net worth are doing it on the app he owns. The same app governments spent years trying to censor. You cannot legislate a rocket into orbit.

I think @FreddyLA7 is going to boost European tourism in the gulf coast. Or someone tell me, do you Europeans know about this part of the country?

My political views on Elon Musk are and always have been “I really like rockets” #spcx @SpaceX

I struggle to believe that what’s preventing people from making weapons is that they don’t know how to make weapons. Am I really supposed to believe the grit and the determination is there in the general populace to make bio weapons but they just needed #claude to spell out how?

#anthropic is bad at product. these decisions are bad product decisions. The feeling of using bad products is like “do the people who made this hate me?” The answer is no, not really, they just don’t use the product themselves so they don’t know your pain

Thoughts and prayers for all the indie film art directors doing that dirty job nobody wants to do. We tax preparers may not understand your pain but we see you. #obsession

It’s always financially unstable to desire to be in an industry that has much more supply than demand.
79
Creative workers like the #obsession art director are forever doomed to commanding less for their work because supply of people wanting to work on film crews will forever outstrip demand. This is why I, guy with art degree, do taxes for my money instead of art.
69
If 5% of #obsession was owned by the production staff wouldn’t it have been harder to sell? Don’t buyers care about cap tables? Does no one taking the “she was exploited” side understand economics or m&a or business at all?

#Codex discovery: opening an old thread by deep link didn’t work until I first “woke” the thread with a one-shot heartbeat from another thread. The wake moved it back into active local state; then the exact same deep link worked.

you’re excited when the cab ride comes to 69$ because it’s the sex number. I’m excited because it means that it’s below the irs threshold for submitting a receipt. we are not the same

Falling in love with baseball through my kid’s @LittleLeague at age 40 has been a surprise. I now realize I was playing the wrong sports as a kid. This would have been the one for me. Played the wrong sports (soccer, lacrosse, diving, skating) and never fell in love with one.

The amount of software there is demand for building is going to equal the amount of software that can be affordably built. If cost goes near zero we will rebuild build the physical world as a digital experience or something seemingly dumb like that.

The singular red dot is causing a massive compute shortage and you think memory stocks have topped?
