Nigeria is described as the "world's center of Christian martyrs," with the number of Christians killed annually by extremist groups often exceeding 4,000, sometimes more than the rest of the world combined. At least 52,250 persecuted Christians have been killed in the past fourteen years (as of an April 2023 report), targeted simply for their faith. Violence was initially localized in the north, where twelve Muslim-majority states declared Sharia law in 1999, leading to discrimination. However, it has spread southward to the middle belt in the past five years. The crisis escalated with the rise of Boko Haram in 2009. They have since been joined by the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP). Both groups seek the eradication of Christianity from the northern states. Radicalized Fulani herdsmen have also been killing Christians to steal their land. The violence has created a refugee crisis of over four million, mostly Christian farmers. The Nigerian government is criticized for being unwilling to condemn the violence (which some call genocidal) or inept in neutralizing extremist movements. A worth and notable example was Deborah who was publicly killed and burnt alive, I recall it was during the election period and none, even the late buhari didn't condemn such open barbaric act and you in particular tweeted in support of blasphemy. Now Christians are the villain from what you guys openly brag on doing and claiming to own Nigeria.
