I ran and finished a marathon today. The entire experience felt akin to the demise of the New World: my mind kept playing tricks on me, as if my thoughts were more real than the actual run itself. We are currently thinking ourselves into oblivion. Clearly Descartes was wrong. Thinking is not the catalyst for being. Cartesian Philo is dead… just like my legs!
