The idea is that the longer you put something off, the more it will "bubble up" to the top and tempt you with more treasure
When you complete your task, you've earned the right to pop the bubble and collect loot
You deserve some friends to keep you company while you pop procrastination away - so I added a derpy lil pufferfish. He doesn't do much but he's trying his best. #IndieGameDev
Update on the job thing:
I have a follow-up interview tomorrow with a new person!
Kind of feels like a video game boss has entered phase 2 unexpectedly
A weird thing to me about living in the USA is you can just... go to the library? And be there for free? You can just exist and money doesn't come into the equation at all?
Like, okay, but this is very out of character for you, USA.
I am wearing a makeshift kilt for research purposes and it's kind of incredible? It's so warm and comfortable, yet breathable.
Now I know why there is a whole dance that celebrates the lifting of kilt prohibition and freedom from pants (!)
ALT The prince went down through the trees and emerged at the edge of a river. He dipped his fingers in the icy cold water, the bitter feeling shot up the nerves of his arms to his elbows. “Ah!” It was painful, but soothing. After splashing his face with water, he took off his boots and strode out over the smooth river rock, the water rushing around his calves. Under the perfectly clear stream he could see a landscape of round stones in myriad colors: gold, yellow, white, orange, and black. The cold bit deep, but it calmed his sore muscles. For a time he closed his eyes and simply listened to the white sound of the water as everything else melted away in his mind. His feet and legs were growing numb from the cold now, and he turned to step out of the river. There on the shore stood the officer of the royal guard. She had tracked him all this way, waited for him to be vulnerable. Now the prince stood alone against her.
Really interesting, full of wonderful illustrations.
Could benefit from some added context and definitions for non-history buffs.
