Piggy in the middle.
Pigs are often cited as the smartest of animals. But this smart?
Our pig man Jon Chapman (@jon_ox) brings home the mathematical bacon in our new series 'Oxford Mathematicians and their Toys'. Not all will feature pigs.

It was great to see so many familiar and new faces in the PyBaMM Developer Training event hosted at @OxUniMaths! The training focussed on how to build new models and incorporate them into PyBaMM, with a strong hands-on component.
It is often impossible to write exact mathematical expressions to describe extremely complex natural systems, but our next awardee, Dr Christopher Lustri (@Sydney_Uni), is able to unpack some of these ideas without relying on massive simulations.
We are hiring a new Lecturer in Applied and Computational Mathematics at @UCDMathStat@ucddublin

More customer service woes, this time with @Lenovo@lenovo_UKI. I ordered a desktop on 25th Nov, with delivery date of 1st Dec. Still hasn't arrived 2 months later.
Customer service, when they do respond, seems to be on an endless email loop of "very sorry please wait 5 days for an update" which never arrives. Starting to feel like I've been scammed. Maybe foolishly, I expected better from Lenovo.
Join us in the first PyBaMM Hackathon (29th March in Oxford)! 🧑💻🔋
