I've done a new showreel! Please retweet if you can. It's only 60 seconds long, but was 12 years in the making.

2000 dollars really is quite low for a movie star salary.
Christian Bale was paid the absolute minimum salary to star in American Psycho (2000). The amount was so low that the crew literally laughed at him. He said “makeup artists were laughing at me because I was getting paid less than any of them”

Just watched the first episode of Man vs Baby. I think it's time to coin the phrase "Anxiety Porn".

As an online producer at the BBC it was part of my job to keep across new internet trends. I remember searching #BBC on Tumblr when it first started, then quickly trying to close the window before my colleagues saw what I was browsing. Glad to see some things never change.

See a thread that says "YOU'RE DOING COFFEE WRONG!!" and the first piece of advice is "don't drink it in the morning" or some crap.

New series of Not Going Out starts this Friday at 9pm on BBC1. Co-written by @LeeMack and me, which is to say that I write the scripts and Lee writes his name in at the top

This was my local shopping centre when I was a kid. Looks like a cross between Star Wars, 2001 and Close Encounters.

I was obsessed with this show when it first aired - taped every episode and watched them on repeat. Bring back live studio sitcoms!
Filthy Rich & Catflap (1987). Not quite a Young Ones sequel: writer Ben Elton brings together Nigel Planer, Rik Mayall and Ade Edmonson for a single season of fart gags, innuendo, light entertainment and extreme violence. Premise? Erm... has-been actor Richard "Richie" Rich and his minder Eddie Catflap get into various scrapes at the behest of seedy agent Ralph Filthy. Guest stars appear to show they are 'down with the kids' and everyone pokes fun at the BBC. Best remembered for its catchphrases ("Lager frenzy!" "Oo-er, sounds a bit rude!" "Deep, deep troub!") it's hardly repeated and reasonably forgotten, eclipsed by Bottom four years later. But it is a great time capsule of the mid-'80s and there are some solid laughs along the way.
