Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine being in the media and sharing a broadcast booth with a legend. Grateful for every moment.

I found this graphic from a post from Eric Sheninger (who I would recommend to definitely follow) on effective coaching. Leaders need to do more than just set the example; they should build up those around them in order for their colleagues to achieve their goals.

Those goals could be personal or professional, but the leaders I like to follow invest their time in this way to ensure brighter futures for their organizations and for others. Multiplying your impact is a legacy worth leaving. Happy Sunday!

Getting ready for my grandson’s 8th grade graduation. Yes, I’m that old. I do think of myself in younger terms, but I’m wise enough to know the difference. Congratulations Daniel on this first of many great achievements!

Recently, a movie with the same name as this song was released regarding a couple of people who came together and created something special. When I read the lyrics of the song, I feel a strong connection.

In our work and our lives, we get to take was is given and what will result is directly aligned with our outlook. I choose to be positive and have seen more upside at the end of each day. Hope you will too - have a great Sunday!

Burnout is not just about doing too much. It is about feeling like what you do does not matter. In this month’s #AASAMag, superintendent Carrie Hruby shares why employees disengage when they feel unseen and how leaders can intentionally close the “mattering gap.” Read more: aasa.org/resources/resource/…
