Mohammed owned and operated American Premier Labs LLC out of Richardson. He systematically stole the personal identifying information and provider numbers of multiple doctors who had absolutely no connection to his lab or his patients. Using these stolen medical identities, he billed Medicare for massive amounts of expensive genetic testing that was never requested, ordered, or actually performed. Mohammed submitted approximately $93 million in false and fraudulent claims. Medicare paid out $65 million on those claims, which included a single 10 day surge in 2023 where he extracted $13 million. Federal agents successfully froze and seized nearly $6 million from his bank accounts during his arrest.
