During my decade running @provincesports, Steve and @htsumura enjoyed a quiet battle over who could produce the most bylines. Even when Steve was sick the first time, he didn’t want to take time off because there were so many stories to tell. Selfless, tough bugger. Go Steve!

In the past two-and-a-half weeks I’ve been invited to two Canucks games that they’ve lost by a combined score of 10-2. Both times the host has apologized profusely for the team’s performances, lacklustre and disinterested. Poor guy, paying to watch that crap.

Last night, a cousin in Edmonton mourned the fact that the Oilers took Jesse Puljujarvi with the fourth pick of the 2016 NHL draft and the Flames took Matthew Tkachuk with the sixth pick. Canucks fans are like, “Ha! Losers! We got Olli Juolevi with the fifth!”

Heard quite the story today from a passenger who said his American Airlines flight Sunday night from @DFWAirport to @yvrairport was delayed when the pilot announced that the first officer wasn’t vaccinated and wouldn’t be able to fly to Canada. They found an emergency backup.

At my son’s baseball game in Abbotsford, just spotted a boy, about 8, wearing a t-shirt bearing Santa’s image that reads, “I do it for the ho’s.” Don’t even know what to say.
