Is this still the worst VAR decision of all time?

I loved Qatar and its people so much in 2022, would love them to get a result somewhere in this group

It would be great to sit down with someone like this and put games of both ‘footballs’ on at the same time and debate. I find NFL unbelievably tedious and largely skill-free apart from one guy who can throw 😂
I tried. I tried it. I watched one World Cup game—the most boring sport.

Btw England might have to play Mexico at the Azteca in the knockouts. Something to think about

Burnley’s ground is top 10 in England for me. The walk to the ground past street art, themed pubs, and strong advertising for community events/news, is unmatched. In America there would presumably be a toll to pass through
Let’s compare Britain’s top league to the US second league!
Community note
The pictured English stadium is Burnley's Turf Moor. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turf_Moor Burnley will be in the English second league next season

This lady, at Netherlands-USA in Qatar, let what I presume was her family watch the first ten minutes of the game with her ❤️

As a 5ft 1 man who must have had this happen at least 100 times in my life, it isn’t just about gender (although probably mainly!)
I've been fascinated for a while about how men assume a right to spaces. It happens in NZ and just happened to me here. I was at my hotel's roof bar and ordered a drink. Then an Italian man arrived and ordered a beer and he and the waiter had a quick discussion about beer.

Sorry but this is funny 😂
Wow, so sorry these matches aren’t being played in front of 3,200 people in a shoebox with crumpets and mash, mate.

This is quite nice but I just wonder if Hummel have been holding on to a ‘Premier League’ shirt design for a few years…I don’t even know what that means really 😂

Is your favourite World Cup informed by your life at the time? For example ‘98 - my first year at Uni, exams finished two days before, games in the afternoon and evening, pre-social media, England good. A magical period, best tournament ever

It’s the World Cup next week and I’ve never felt less excited about the number of people saying they’ve never felt less excited about the World Cup.

Mustapha Hadji, hands down one of the coolest blokes to ever take to a football pitch, with a lovely goal vs Norway at France 98 🇲🇦

A weird one for non-journalists to understand I guess, but accomplishing a ‘death knock’ and telling a story about a person’s life and achievements by going directly to their family was terrifying, intrusive, and if done well, something to be proud of. Different world
