"Out of Red" found a new owner. 🎉
The physical piece will soon join the extensive and impressive digital art collection of @ragnar_meta. 🤯
João Pescada @jpscd, originally from the south of Portugal and now based in London, is a digital product expert who creates websites, mobile apps, and interactive experiences. He launched an online magazine in 2002 that supported Portuguese and Brazilian designers, and his work was featured in MusaBook, a book of contemporary illustrators. He earned several awards, including gold and silver from the Creatives Club of Portugal and a Site of the Day award from The FWA.
Out of Red
This original artwork, part of the "Displaced" series, combines digital and analog expressions of generative art. The drawing was first made with code using an algorithm to generate unexpected outcomes.
Over 30.000 short lines drawn, applying over 100m of paint on paper. The paper is purposely moved between the first and second layers to create a misalignment of the drawings.

This is a very special piece to me and it was the first time I sold an artwork that I feel deeply connected to. It's a strange feeling maybe even akin to losing a friend. Is this the blues? Weird.
It's one of the most attractive pieces in the SoS collection, but the market is the market and sometimes we just have to let it go.
Thanks @williamapan for continuously bringing us glimpses of joy and I believe it's now in good hands with @stevezee_.

Ever since Strands of Solitude was released by @williamapan over a year ago, I’ve been searching for a piece that felt right to own - checking newly listed pieces multiple times a day, every day.
A few days ago, I was fortunate enough to see #138 listed by @jpscd who has been its steward since mint. This is a special piece, featuring an echo chamber and glimpse of joy with a stunning Blues palette. It is reminiscent of Mapan’s Dragons due to the glimpse of joy and @mattdesl’s Meridians due to the undulating waves in the echo chamber.
Thank you to João for giving me the honour of carrying on the stewardship of this special piece. It is in good hands.

The muted green colour palette and the induced left-to-right motion confirm it. Indeed, it’s 4:20.

Making prints for @williamapan had us spun around. Multiple tries before we were able to match his level of craftsmanship with a physical work that has a minimal amount of data loss from its digital counterpart.
Centrifuge is a new series of 35 unique generative artworks that we turned into textured prints. Launching on 24 January each of the outputs are a display of kinetic movements based on William's experimentation with ink flows on paper.
No detail is sacrificed in the translation from digital to physical, with each print comprised of 18 layers of tangible printed detail. A year in the making, William knew he wanted to create something unseen before, pushing the boundaries of our printmaking.

C’est avec une vive émotion que nous apprenons la disparition de Vera Molnár avec qui nous avions passionnément travaillé en vue de sa prochaine grande exposition au Centre Pompidou.
Elle ouvrira en février 2024 et rendra hommage à son œuvre exceptionnelle.
