I think when Kamala Harris first speaks at Tuesday's debate, she should look directly at the camera and say: "Tonight, you're going to hear nothing of substance from my opponent. Just a rehashing of the same old grievances from his old tired playbook. I'm going to spend my time speaking to you, the American people, and answering questions about the real issues you care about and deserve to have answered with truth, not hyperbole and conjecture. Because it is a president's job to lead the country forward with vision, with substance, and with real plans. I'm here to talk about my plans and a promise for a better future for all Americans." Then she should ignore and dismiss everything he says from that moment on, and pretend he's not even there for the rest of the debate.
