My Uber driver overheard my phone conversation tonight: “Do you work for Kamala Harris?” “I do” “I became a citizen two months ago. I want to cast my very first vote for her. I love her, my whole family loves her. Can you tell me how to register to vote?” “Yes I can” 🇺🇸🇺🇸

In presentations, it’s rarely having beautiful slides that makes the biggest difference. It’s usually understanding your audience, taking them on a journey, and allowing yourself to connect. Instead of focusing on slides, spend time on your audience. You will have more impact.

We shouldn't be trying to remove struggle from math. We should be adding it back in--and without the performance adjective of "productive". Mathematics is not a a chore or a project. Mathematics is a lifetime devotion to beauty. We teach the skeleton of math; not the soul.
