The future of over 1,000 families of senior
#Journalists in
#Hyderabad Hangs in the Dark, due to
#JNJMACHS Management Committee!
Nearly 80 Journalists lost their lives.
Somebody trying to Snatch the
#Lands (
#JournalistsLands) of over 1000 Journalists, through Conspiracy??
Seeks support from Telangana Chief Minister
@revanth_anumula
The dream of nearly 1,000 Senior Journalists (
#JNJHS) families in Hyderabad to build their own Houses does not appear to be coming true, even after nearly 20 years, due to the GO (IAS, MLAs, Journalists in the same GO) by then Govt, failing to Provide Support by the next Government, present Judiciary System and Deliberately making wrong decisions by the "Jawaharlal Nehru Journalists Mutually Aided Co-Op. Housing Society" (JNJMACHS) Management for their own benefit.
Nearly 18 years ago, the Journalists invested their hard-earned savings into land with the aim of building their own homes, but now find themselves out on roads.
Nearly 80 journalists have already lost their lives, while their families continue to cling to the false hope that they will eventually get the land.
Maximum Journalists retired, still in hope to construct their own house.
In the year 2006 when I was looking for land to construct my own house, around 170 sq yards of land in Petbasheerabad area, (then outskirts of Hyderabad) was priced at ₹3.5-4 lakh (market value), now it's ₹2 crore.
Subsequently, then YSR government issued a government order (GO), announcing the allocation of land to journalists at government-fixed rates. They earmarked land in the areas of Petbasheerabad and Nizampet, located on the outskirts of Hyderabad. In 2008, 1,100 journalists each deposited ₹200,000 into our Jawaharlal Nehru Journalists Housing Society account in 2008, the JNJMACHS Society paid ₹12.33 crore to Govt.
Instead of directly buy the land, we paid to Govt, under the belief that we would acquire land—worth ₹3,50,000 for just ₹200,000 at the government rate and develop a Journalists Colony.
The then Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had issued the same GO for allotment of lands to journalists as well as MLAs and IAS officers, which created problems for Journalists.
Someone went to court against this GO.
Instead of approaching the government on behalf of Journalists, the managing committee went to High Court and Supreme Court on behalf of MLAs and IAS officers.
Dont know why, our Society Management committee trying hard since 18 years, to not to get the lands to Journalists.
Without informing the members or without conducting a General Body meeting, the Managing Committee took several wrong decisions, causing us to be unable to construct our own houses.
We Hope Telangana Govt will support us to get our land, which we bought 18-years ago.
Whenever an election takes place, they contest like politicians, host Liquor Parties, spend huge money for voters to secure the position of Directors, clearly their intentions are dubious.
The Managing committee deliberately kept members in the dark regarding the actual location of the land allotted to the journalists. However, in 2017–18, the journalists managed to locate their land in Nizampet. A few years later, they also locate the land situated in Pet Basheerabad. A significant portion of these lands had already been encroached upon; only the management committee can explain why they remained oblivious to this fact.
Subsequently, the encroachers in Nizampet were evicted, but a major portion of land in Pet Basheerabad remains under encroachment.
Now the Management Committee forcing us to leave the land, but went can't. The Management Committee trying hard since 18 years, to not to get the lands to Journalists, for their own interest.
Those who have huge property, own houses, maintaining Lavish life, they can do this, they are very few.
CM Revanth garu, you support the Farmers, the Women, the Poor,.. please give support these Journalists.
