This was 12 years ago when our youngest son was 9 years old. He walked by your dad slowly and your dad struck up a conversation with him. Now my son is 21 and a senior at Oregon State. I emailed your dad this picture with a few stories about our interactions with him. Great Man!

So proud of my Dad and all he did during his time at OSU, but more so for the man he is and all the good he stands for. A leader & winner that didn’t need praise or acknowledgment, rather the space to give thanks and respect to those that always had his back.
OSU’s social media snub of Wayne Tinkle was no oversight.
The Beavers’ leadership could learn a lot about grace and class from the coach they just fired.

After Oregon State beat USF in the WCC quarters tonight, Wayne Tinkle turned to multiple areas of the arena and celebrated.
Here's the reason why:
"The outpouring of support from the last ten days have been unbelievable... It was just a thank you to them for all the great things that they said and to let them know we're not done... There were a lot of emotions when I was by myself, but we had to make sure we made it about the team this week. It's all we've ever done... So why would I make it about me the individual all the sudden? That would be so hypocritical. We've got enough of that in our society."
