Sometimes I think politics can’t get any dumber. But it always finds a way. Today is no exception.

I have unsubscribed from text messages from pretty much every campaign and candidate. But there is one I have unsubscribed from more than any other. How many times do I have to reply “stop” to end his desperate pleas about how he is down one point in (state)?

Posting for no reason at all: Sometimes negotiations end and are over. Sometimes both parties need to walk away for one reason or another before coming back to the table. It’s impossible for an outsider to know which is which.

Obviously the hockey game was incredible. Canadians played well but couldn’t get another past Helleybuck, who had the game of his life. But kudos to the zebras for letting them play. It was a physical game but the referees did not make themselves the story. So rare these days.

Yes I’m impressed by what Philip Rivers is doing in Indianapolis. But a far more impressive comeback is playing out in Europe now by @lindseyvonn Truly age defying stuff. Bravo!!!

Goodness are we coddled in life. I’m in a metal tube traveling at 500 miles per hour 35,000 feet in the sky and am annoyed by the buffering on my tablet while streaming a football game more than 5,000 miles away.

The most amazing thing to me about these sorority videos is how big they are. I went to a small non-Greek school and had no idea how many women are in each of them.

This CSPAN interview with Tom Wickham is full of terrific insights into some of the quirks and personalities of the House. If that is at all of interest, it is well worth a listen. Thank you, Tom for your years of service to the House and the country. c-span.org/podcasts/subpage/…

I was just fed an ad for an advanced reptile breeding system. Either the algorithm is really really broken, or there is a part of me hungering to raise snakes that I never realized existed.

So I happen to be in Europe this week and am at breakfast. The manager is setting up the Bloody Mary bar right next to me. He must sense a need.

Can't get enough OBBBA content? Who can, really? Take a few minutes to listen to Anna Taylor and I react to the the Senate Finance Committee's draft of the tax title: deloi.tt/462rYDO via @Deloitte.

I think we need to know. Definitely seems like it might be deserved here.
