This is HUGE! No embargo needed for @AACR publications deposited in PubMed Central - enabling compliance with the NIH public access policy without spending exorbitant open access fees.
You can read the AACR journals' policy here: aacrjournals.org/pages/open-… "The Author Accepted Manuscript is permitted to be deposited in PMC and made available to the public on or after the first online publication date of the Version of Record."

Kudos to @maud_maillard on her new paper in @jclinicalinvest! Our findings indicate NUDT5 is a key regulator of thiopurine metabolism, offering new insights into how cells strike the balance between de novo vs salvage purine synthesis.
Thiopurines for the treatment of cancer or autoimmune disease are limited by their toxicity. @MaudMaillard @Junjyang @StJudeResearch identify germline NUDT5 variants that affect thiopurine metabolism and cytotoxicity in children with ALL, having implications for individualized thiopurine therapy. jci.org/articles/view/190443

Instead of listing my publications, as the year draws to an end, I want to put pressure on the commonplace assumption that productivity must always increase. Good research is disruptive and thinking time is central to high quality scholarship and necessary for disruptive research

Why is #ALL highly curable in #kids but carries a much worse prognosis in #adults?? Check out our new paper @JCO_ASCO describing genomics of age-related differences in ALL drug sensitivity @StJudeResearch @MDAndersonNews @UChicagoLeuk @NitinJainMD
Researchers identified distinct molecular subtypes of B-ALL that occur in different age groups explaining why cure rates vary between children and adults. The study suggests treatments should be tailored based on underlying molecular groups beyond age. ow.ly/k2SL50SSlU2

The stars are aligning (literally) for our paper to come out today 😂🌞 @jiyang_yu @StJudeResearch
By characterizing B-cells’ developmental stages, St. Jude scientists designed and tested a drug combination to effectively treat resistant B-cell leukemia and reduce side effects. Learn more about the research by @Jiyang_Yu and @JunJYang. bit.ly/4avBOh1

Amazing story of a Nigerian pharmacist who identified issues in her health center, went through the literature for solutions, discovered PGx on her own, joined @PGRN, identified mentors, obtained a grant, wrote a paper, and conducted a PGx study at her hospital to help her people
