I know our shop staff and volunteers are working hard to ensure the supply chain to the island continues to function. But I am sure @juradevelopment would echo this call for support for remote rural shops.
Our community shop is having major issues sourcing basics such as bread and milk and we are the only shop in our rural community. Our wholesaler say they can't help. The supermarkets won't sell directly to us. Is this something @scotgov or @argyllandbute could help with?
Itās our CAP update event today, where we will find out what the community has achieved in the past couple of years. SPOILER ALERT - weāve achieved rather a lot! š Guest appearances from Cleaner Energy, @sustrans and @argyllandbute too.

A Happy New Year to all from the JDT! Here's hoping 2020 and the decade as a whole brings prosperous wonderfulness to our fellow island/rural communities and beyond.
Biggest issues in rural communities and places - our delegates are writing down the issues from their rural areas to discuss in our workshop later this afternoon. #thisisrural
This is the beautiful West Coast of Jura. The area we are trying to protect from industrial fish farms, to keep the wilderness and widlife protected and hopefully the animals as free as much as possible from industrial plastic tape. In the meantime, enjoy the view.
Funding from @CyclingUKScot allowed us to run Bike Repair sessions with Jura Cycles. As ever, it was as much about the getting together fur a blether as it was about learning some practical skills. Next on the agenda, a community cycle to Islay!

Was at an event hosted by @HIEScotland & @argyllandbute on Monday that was looking at Housing and its role in supporting economic development. Homes & employment go hand in hand in contributing to sustainable communities throughout rural and island Scotland.
