When I explained how tight it was, the overdue bills, groceries on credit cards, wondering how we were going to put gas in the car to get to work the next day, she said "we (her and her brother) had no idea". That was by design, but probably wasn't a good design.

I know grass needs to be cut, and I’m not expecting the whole neighborhood to stay quiet.
But starting the mower right at dinner time feels a little inconsiderate.
We were just sitting down to eat, windows open, trying to enjoy the evening… and then all we could hear was the mower.
It’s not the end of the world, but it definitely changes the mood fast.
Would this bother you too, or do you think dinner time is fair game for mowing?
