Mind you, Claire contacts Leon for help and he helps Chris in locating her. A small but significant role & showing a proper interaction between both Leon/Claire & Leon/Chris in the remake would be a great addition to the original game.

You don't have to ship Cleon or Chreon to want more fleshed out character dynamics and interactions.

Capcom showing a Leon timeline during the Resident Evil Veronica promo, where only Requiem is mentioned alongside RE2 and RE4 makes you definitely think REV is connected to the upcoming DLC.
Showing older Claire Redfield right after REV would be such a goated move from Capcom.
Word in the grapevine is RE9 DLC is releasing after Resident Evil Veronica. To see how it plays out, but it's been murmured to be further out.

During the Resident Evil Veronica special media event, it seems Capcom showed a story timeline video for Claire and Leon‘s story.
For Leon they showed RE2, RE4 AND Requiem and then it goes back to RE2 and the scene switches to Claire.

Interestingly the timeline video mentions Sherry escaping with Leon and Claire from Raccoon City and when it came to the Requiem summary, Sherry was the only one getting mentioned alongside Leon.
