to explain I have Eustachian canal dysfunction syndrom (ECDS for short) which cause my ear to not filter properly.
on the 19th of november I undergo the surgery to get tubes in it. Which allowed to remove the pressure and for me to hear again.
so to summarize, when people tell me to
*listen* or *you know how you sound* is just plain insensitive. but I cant expect everyone to understand that being deaf is not just : huhuhu he cant hear!
it is way more complex than you think.
to conclude, I think starting from 2025 I will actually start putting my feet down on not letting people disrespect my condition anymore. Its nothing to laugh at and I shouldn't be feeling humiliated because I cant *hear* properly
I think ill start be more and more strict/ blunt with people insensitive to me when it is subject to my deafness. it happenned so many time where people *undermine* the gravity of how deaf I am or think that <oh you can hear you not deaf !> ๐งต
