One of the most valuable lessons we've learned while building
@kasiconvocation is this:
Sometimes the best product decisions don't come from developers.
They come from the community.
Recently, some stokvel members and administrators raised an important concern.
While the platform allowed users to view stokvel balances, many groups felt that this information should only be visible to members who actually belong to that stokvel.
And they were right.
Because transparency and privacy are not opposites.
The strongest stokvels are built on both.
At
@kasiconvocation, we believe people should have visibility into the groups they belong to, while maintaining the privacy and integrity of groups they don't.
So we've made an update.
Going forward, stokvel balances will only be visible to members within that specific stokvel.
Why?
Because trust deserves structure.
And structure should respect boundaries.
This update is a reminder that we're not just building technology.
We're building a platform shaped by the people who use it every day.
Watch the video below to see the update in action.
