又到了台灣 PyCon 的季節。開源研討會是一種很特別的活動形式，本質上是有一群寫程式的人，覺得天天寫程式仍然不夠過癮，所以找到其它一樣還想要寫更多程式的人，聚在一起互相討論怎麼樣寫程式以及寫更多程式。 雖然活動的形式叫作研討會，好像是在工作，但活動的內容算是相當有趣，常常會出現你一定不想在工作中冒險嘗試的瘋狂想法。每年都有那些讓人覺得真是浪費才能但值得稱讚的題目，非常好玩。 我這幾年還在亞洲的 PyCon 偷渡 C ，不過好像被看破手腳了，今年投不上。 參加開源研討會，最重要的不是在講廳裡聽講，而是去認識那些寫奇奇怪怪程式的人。但如果你還不知道該如何認識他們，第一步先進講廳。 演講前去找講者說說話，演講中仔細聆聽思考，演講後提問討論。有問有答，自然會認識彼此。然後不要忘記互相留下聯絡資訊。 喜歡寫程式的人不容易遇到。去都去了，該要多認識一些人。

去年是 PyCon Taiwan 滿一輪的龍年，時間真是一轉眼就過，但今年才是 PyCon Taiwan 第二輪的本命蛇年！下個周日 2/23， @pycontw 即將接受 2025 年的投稿： x.com/PyConTW/status/1890573… 打從一開始，PyCon Taiwan 就以技術議程為活動主軸。這不單是因為技術社群理當分享技術，也是為了幫助喜歡 #python 的朋友們享受社群所作的設計。所以我們一群本來就在寫 Python 的朋友啟動了 #pycontw ，一起把更多寫 Python 的朋友給找出來： yyc.solvcon.net/en/latest/wr… 那是在 2011 年，Python 還不太流行，但身為一個寫數值程式的人，我一直對 Python 在台灣的發展很有信心。沒有人能拒絕這麼方便的程式語言，台灣人自不例外。 參加程式設計社群要寫程式，就好像參加餐會要吃飯一樣自然。雖然看著別人寫程式也沒有問題，但總是會少一點味道。PyCon Taiwan 以技術議程吸引已經在寫 Python，以及還沒有在寫，但想要寫 Python 的人，一起參加會議，讓各種不同背景的人都能享受 Python 社群活動。 台灣的 Python 社群一直在這條廣納百川的路線上推進。不但參加活動的人能夠享受，安排活動的核心團隊也玩得愈來愈開心。(我好像看到有人揪團去玩但沒有找我 🤣) Python 程式員作為稀少種類的時代早就過去了。現在這麼多人寫 Python，要寫得更深入才會得到更多的樂趣。趕快準備投稿吧！如果對投稿的準備有疑問，歡迎在本推下留言。

We just shipped the latest Python 3.14 alpha (3.14.0a5) to uv and python-build-standalone. This is the first release that includes the tail-calling interpreter. Our initial benchmarks show a ~20-30% performance improvement across CPython.
