Postgres gets a lot of love, but this result beautifully sums up why MySQL and InnoDB are still awesome.

A big part of imposter syndrome is feeling like everything you’ve learned is common sense. You devalue what probably took you a long time to learn. Twitter peeps have taught me a LOT. But I also see thousands of engineers better than me every day on my timeline. It’s humbling.

They say tech job market is tough but god do ppl half ass their opportunity For a senior role 50% ppl didn’t come prepared w/ what was asked. Simple things You can literally stand above 50% just by doing a few simple things I can’t take you serious if you don’t take us serious

Canada’s March to the Match continues to work its way through the Toronto streets toward the stadiums. Beautiful scenes as fans chant and cheer and high five fans who are lining the streets. It’s going to be electric inside the stadium today.

One of my goals w/ HoloDex is to eliminate ETL pipelines that shuffle bronze level data from OLTP to OLAP stores HoloDex is a grid of storage and compute. You can assign nodes to different workload types Data gets replicated & turned into Arrow segments for Apache DataFusion

PostgreSQL 19 is dropping a massive quality-of-life feature that is going to kill off a lot of messy backend hacks: WAIT FOR LSN. If you run asynchronous read replicas, this fixes your biggest consistency headache. A quick breakdown on how it works: 👇

Whenever I see a developer using Grok on Twitter it just tells me I’ll never use their software if I can help it 😂

I’m not happy with this user experience yet but I’m struggling to figure out a more fluent shorter version that’s slicker to use. I hate YAML coding.

I feel my tokens burning at a rate I’ve never done before. I have 2 Codex threads working in parallel work One thread adding logical namespaces, users, permissions and adv data placement to HoloStore Another thread implementing HoloDex container registry container scheduler

One challenge with using Firecracker as compute isolation is that it really limits what cloud instances you can use because of its VM requirements. Even on a common dev box you can’t use it.

My favourite part of Twitter is seeing who is so kind to like my bullshit nonsense so I can see what amazing people are out there. I read what you all share more than I read my own timeline.
