In just a few months, Louisville Water Tower will reopen for tours, weddings, and venue rentals. The renovations to this National Historic Landmark are almost complete and we can't wait to welcome you in 2024.
“I’ve lived here my whole life and...have never been up here until 2020.” @PaulMiles840's search for a new place to walk led him to our historic Crescent Hill Reservoir and Gatehouse. Since then, he's captured breathtaking photos of it.

Know the source of your drinking water? Today, more than 75 billion gallons of Ohio River water will flow by Louisville. That river is an amazing source and @louisvillewater turns it into some of the highest quality drinking water. That’s why it’s important to #ProtectTheSource.
We’re giving a special shout out to our Pure Tap team! They worked hard all summer long to keep the community hydrated 💪💧On this #lastdayofsummer here’s a look back as we remind you to #DrinkLikeALocal
Here’s a great example of a drinking water provider engaging with the public. Arriving in Virginia Beach for @WaterJAM_VA and see this on the boardwalk: a taste test where you compare bottled water to the taste of Virginia Beach’s tap water. Nice outreach! #branding
Curious friends at the @NACWA meeting want to know why there’s a Louisville Water ornamental sign inside the Omni hotel. 🤔Answer: it’s the site of our original 1860 office building. Check out the rooftop pool- it’s named The Water Company.
A message to my @NACWA friends coming to Louisville for your board meeting, #DrinkLikeALocal. You’re coming to the place with the best-tasting tap water. Enjoy it straight or on the rocks with our other signature beverage. 💧 🥃
Early morning safety blitz for @louisvillewater crews. It’s a reminder the work we do can be dangerous and our employees are the most important piece of our business. #Safety#employees
A water tasting for my friends on the @WEForg board. We sampled four kinds of water in a conversation about branding, public trust and the value of communications. Thanks for inviting me to share the @louisvillewater story. #WaterStory#branding
Taste=perception and that’s part of trust.Looking for @awwa winner of the “Best Tasting Tap Water.” There are 25 samples from providers in the US and Canada. Excited to see who joins @louisvillewater with winning the award. (Pure Tap isn’t in the competition this year!) #ACE23
A mix of engineers, scientists and communicators in this workshop to look at how to lead the conversation in talking about the risk of lead to get into drinking water. New guide from @awwa is a big help to utilities. #ACE23#communication
Enjoyed this candid conversation on communicating through a risk situation with water pros in Philadelphia. Common theme: be first, relatable and transparent. And, don’t wait until something goes wrong to build the brand.
You never know what you’ll find while repairing a water main break. Our crews uncovered a bit of history last week on Woodlawn Ave. and 3rd St. Look closely and you’ll see old trolley/street car rails dating back to when trolleys were Louisville’s main mode of transportation 🚃
Terra cotta tiles, hand-cut limestone and ornate details. Louisville Water’s Gatehouse is a beautiful statement of Gothic architecture. This open house gives the curious a peek of the form and function that’s part of our drinking water. #DrinkingWaterWeek
