Finished my cake. The critique was helpful. There’s definitely some things that I need to do differently for competition cakes. But overall they seemed to like it. I’ll find out my score this afternoon.

This week I taught my 3 classes plus a community Ed class last night. Made and delivered an elopement cake, made a 4 tier competition cake (had to redo parts) and now I’m awake early (again!) to drive a mini van to Kansas City. Also world crumbling, blah, blah, blah.

Also, one of the trips is a competition. I know I said I would take some time off, but this is a cake competition, so like, that’s different. Also I think there are no other professionals competing, so it’s really just me against me.
