ALT COAL CONSUMPTION AFFECTING CLIMATE.
The furnaces of the world are now burning about 2,000,000,000 tons of coal a year. When this is burned, uniting with oxygen, it adds about 7,000,000,000 tons of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere yearly. This tends to make the air a more effective blanket for the earth and to raise its temperature. The effect may be considerable in a few centuries.

Hi, all. I write jokes for TV, but not long ago I was a financial analyst. I had my Series 7.
For those who say Fran Drescher or any SAG-AFTRA member should stop whining and appreciate what they have, let me give you a lesson in capitalism. 🧵

After serving on our community association boards,
@dbinyyc & I have some thoughts.
For starters, community associations need to be divorced from their halls:

I’ve been thinking about civility lately (and where we need more of it). But there is beauty in choosing the right time and place to make a statement. This seems like one of those times.
During Congressional Gold Medal ceremony for Jan. 6 police, representatives of those receiving awards shake hands with Schumer then walk past McConnell and McCarthy.
Nonprofits in Alberta contribute $5.5 billion in GDP but they’re struggling after the pandemic—less money coming in; higher need for services. 0.2% of the current provincial surplus is all they’re asking to get back afloat. @nonprofitvotethenonprofitvote.ca/essentia…
Kenney: "I know this is an old fashioned sentiment, but I actually believe civility is a conservative value. And there is a growing sense of profound incivility. And it concerns me greatly."
I love that people are responding to my hilarious quote tweet of Jamie Sale saying I’m punching down or being mean. Listen man she has an Olympic medal and the most I’ve ever won was a free coffee at Tim Hortons. I think she will be fine.
