🇨🇳🇯🇵🇺🇸 Xi Jinping went OFF on Japan during his summit with Trump.
He is slamming PM Sanae Takaichi and Tokyo’s rising military spending, calling it straight-up “remilitarization.”
He got unusually heated and agitated.
Trump pushed back, saying Japan’s only beefing up because of North Korea threats, while praising the Japanese people.
Xi’s stance is both unfair and understandable.
Understandable because China still carries deep, and I mean, DEEP scars from Japan’s brutal WW2 invasion and atrocities.
Unfair because Japan is mostly reacting to China’s own massive military buildup, South China Sea aggression, and threats around Taiwan.
Tokyo is still stuck under a pacifist constitution.

🇺🇸🇮🇷🇯🇵 The Iran war burned through US Tomahawk stockpiles fast enough that Japan's delivery, due 2028, is now being pushed back up to 2 years.
Tokyo bought those missiles specifically to deter China.
The bill for three months of war is still being calculated.
