After WWII, the US freed Japanese war criminals, like genocidal Nazi ally Nobusuke Kishi, who became prime minister. (His grandson was PM Shinzo Abe) These CIA-backed fascists created Japan's right-wing LDP, which has ruled basically as a one-party regime geopoliticaleconomy.com/2022…

Even US government mouthpiece the NY Times admitted the US "promot[ed] structured corruption and one-party conservative democracy in post-war Japan" This included CIA meddling to rig Japan's elections, bribery, blackmail, etc. (The US did the same in Italy and other countries)

Japan has been a one-party state since 1955 (excluding just 5 years), run by the right-wing LDP, which the CIA created by rehabilitating fascist war criminals who committed genocide in WWII But The Economist claims Japan is a "full democracy" because it's a loyal US ally/proxy
The Economist’s “Democracy Index” says Japan is a “Full democracy”. In the last Japanese general election, less than 16% of the total population (~19% of voting-age population) voted for the Liberal Democratic Party. It got a majority of seats in the legislature anyway.

Since taking office last fall, Japan’s right-wing premier, Sanae Takaichi, has pursued far-reaching rearmament. Coupled with grim historical revision, it amounts to an abandonment of Japan’s postwar pacifism. jacobin.com/2026/05/japan-re…

🇨🇳🇯🇵🇺🇸 Xi Jinping went OFF on Japan during his summit with Trump. He is slamming PM Sanae Takaichi and Tokyo’s rising military spending, calling it straight-up “remilitarization.” He got unusually heated and agitated. Trump pushed back, saying Japan’s only beefing up because of North Korea threats, while praising the Japanese people. Xi’s stance is both unfair and understandable. Understandable because China still carries deep, and I mean, DEEP scars from Japan’s brutal WW2 invasion and atrocities. Unfair because Japan is mostly reacting to China’s own massive military buildup, South China Sea aggression, and threats around Taiwan. Tokyo is still stuck under a pacifist constitution. 🇺🇸🇮🇷🇯🇵 The Iran war burned through US Tomahawk stockpiles fast enough that Japan's delivery, due 2028, is now being pushed back up to 2 years. Tokyo bought those missiles specifically to deter China. The bill for three months of war is still being calculated. Source: FT

Calling on international media to investigate. @rumireports @JustinMcCurry @BBCNewsJapan
This isn't an allegation. Takaichi Sanae admitted it herself — she lied on her résumé, claiming to be "an authority on military affairs," and rode that lie all the way to the top.

🇯🇵 AI Warfare Enters Japanese Politics Japan is witnessing growing controversy after reports alleged that AI-generated political campaigns played a major role in reshaping the country’s political landscape. During the October 2025 LDP leadership race, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s camp was accused of using AI tools to mass-produce between 100 and 200 videos daily targeting rivals Shinjiro Koizumi and Yoshimasa Hayashi, depicting them as “incompetent puppets.” Months later, similar AI-driven campaigns allegedly targeted opposition figures, portraying them as “Chinese puppets” and “weak politicians,” before the LDP secured a historic 316-seat landslide victory. The controversy has intensified following Japan’s deep AI cooperation agreement with Palantir last year, fueling fears that advanced AI systems are becoming powerful tools for political influence and mass opinion manipulation.
