In fact as in Ireland a lot of the groundwork was done in 1978! Only this ridiculous little country with the stranglehold of the Westminster system and dodgy influences by the rich, is unable to get rid of Leasehold at pace. It just drags on.

Government has never mentioned. To their shame. The "compensation" was also way below what they could expect to get from these "payments". There simply isn't any human right to " Market values" as defined by Freeholders.

Shocking and quite disgusting that no significant Leasehold reform happened between proposals in 1881 until 1967! A letter from the Times in 1881. Reforms were kicked out by the aristocracy profiting from their land owning and Parliamentary power. Exactly the same arguments!!
