Hadn't seen this documentary yet. Nominated for an Emmy Award. This reminds me why our fight for the Virginia Key Beach Trust is so important.

Grateful that for once in a long time there is something that our legislative bodies of government can actually agree on in order to make real progress on an issue. Still sad that it doesnât happen more often.

Thank you! This is a chance to help my community grow with #MiamiTech. I was born & raised in Miami, graduate of @FIU & built @mybpnetwork with the focus on connecting people who look like me with the resources needed for growth. Iâm here to show what #MiamiMade can accomplish!
Excited to welcome @Kenasha onboard as @fiuengagementâs @VentureMiami Opportunity Program Director to help us break down walls for catalytic innovation for women of color and create a #MiamiForEveryone.
Thanks for spreading the word @BrianBrackeen. Itâs vital that our tech community understand the relationship & correlation that wealth & investment in tech has with the arts. They share ecosystems. They inform each other. Happy to welcome everyone to @pamm tonight

Opinion: U.S. shouldnât punish Haitians at the border. This country is to blame for their misery

Here is a list of names of people who have been reported missing and dead after the partial collapse of the Champlain Towers South condominium in Surfside.
The Herald will keep updating this list. trib.al/1erU6Mo
Itâs been an interesting experience suddenly becoming bi-country. Been home in đŠđŹ since December, running @invizio from here. Rebuilding connections here and maintaining/creating new ones there đșđž
3/After not truly living here for almost 20 years, there is a palpable sense that Antigua is bifurcated across racial and class lines that wasnât as pronounced when I left. We all share the same Antigua, but now there are more separate social institutions.
4/Thereâs a lot more happening on island than meets the surface. Access to information needs to be better democratized so that more people can benefit from it.
Couple observations:
1/Thereâs a weird benefit to being an Antiguan with a US passport who is back home. I can âactâ like a tourist at the airport and get treated differently. This applies to re-entering, quarantining, etc. No real discernment on the part of authorities.
So Iâm not a part of the Miami tech community in the traditional, sexy, tech startup sense. I run a services business. A managed IT provider that powers companies of all types that need to outsource IT management, cybersecurity, etc.
I just want to give support to all my friends who have said that we need to invest in home team. Our city loves visitors and out of towners. Theyâre the type to party on SoBe and catch a flight out once the hangover wears off.
There are a lot of people who have been here for a long time, putting in work. Letâs please put out the same energy for those folks that weâre rolling out for the newbies. And letâs make sure this new gold rush is inclusive in terms of who benefits.
