The Hon’ble Supreme Court’s argument is that we should first go to the Election Commission, then to the High Court, and only thereafter approach the Supreme Court. However, this is a special case. The more time that is given, the longer this matter will be dragged out. That is why we wanted the Supreme Court to provide relief in the Meenakshi Natarajan case. Nevertheless, since the Court has said so, we will approach the High Court accordingly. We believe that this rejection is illegal, immoral, and anti-democratic. What the BJP Govt has done is wrong. Such major actions do not happen without the approval or direction of PM Modi. We believe that these steps are being taken deliberately as part of a larger conspiracy to weaken the Congress Party and undermine Democracy. In our view, these actions are aimed at harassing and suppressing the Opposition.

This is my 13th election. The Congress party has given me the opportunity to serve the people. I am grateful to Smt. Sonia Gandhi ji. I am very proud of my party and my people. I also congratulate all the party workers who supported me and helped me, particularly during my MLA tenure and also in Parliament. I am thankful to the people of Karnataka, the party members, and the media because you all cooperated with me so that I could survive as one of the longest-serving public representatives.

Deeply saddened by the passing of Jaspal Rana ji, a towering figure in Indian sport and one of our greatest shooting champions. From bringing glory to India on the world stage to nurturing future generations of shooters, his contribution to Indian sport was truly extraordinary. He even delved in public service to work for his state of Uttarakhand. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and the entire sporting fraternity.

Every child has the right to health, education, protection and a childhood free from exploitation. Child labour is not merely an economic issue; it is a social injustice that robs children of their future. The enactment of the Child Labour (Prohibition & Regulation) Act, 1986 marked a significant national effort that helped reduce child labour across India. However, in recent years, concerns have emerged over children being pushed back into exploitative labour due to certain legal amendments, reductions in child protection budgets, and the long-term socio-economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The condition of children also remains a matter of serious concern. According to NFHS-6, 29.3% of children are stunted, 31.8% are underweight, and 19% are wasted, highlighting persistent nutritional challenges. Educational outcomes are equally worrying. As per a recent NITI Aayog report, in rural India, 42% of Class 6 students, 36% of Class 7 students and 29% of Class 8 students cannot read a Class 2-level text. Similarly, 64% of Class 6 students, 59% of Class 7 students and 54% of Class 8 students are unable to perform basic mathematical division, exposing deep gaps in learning outcomes. Economic growth alone has neither been sufficient nor inclusive enough to ease the hardships faced by millions of families, often forcing children into work instead of school. On the World Day Against Child Labour, let us renew our collective commitment to protect every child’s right to learn, grow and thrive, and work towards eliminating child labour from India once and for all.

मोदी सरकार के 12 सालों में ग़रीबी घटाने की Campaign की Reality ⤵️ पहले ग़रीब से मनरेगा के तहत काम का अधिकार छीना, अब रोटी का निवाला भी छीन रही है ! 2016: मोदी जी ने दावा किया था कि उज्जवला योजना के तहत महिलाओं को लकड़ी के चूल्हे के धुएं से मुक्ति मिलेगी। साल में 12 सब्सिडी वाले सिलेंडर का वादा था। जो पिछले साल 12 से घटाकर 9 कर दिए। 2026: अब सब्सिडी वाले सिलेंडर की संख्या 9 से घटाकर केवल 4 कर दी गई। यानि, 12 का वादा, पर 4 का इरादा। LPG की कीमतें बार-बार बढ़ाई गईं। 5.56 करोड़ लाभार्थी रिफिल ख़रीदने में असमर्थ हैं। सिलेंडर छोड़, माता-बहनें चूल्हा अपनाने को मजबूर, … उनके आंसूओं पर घड़ियाली आँसू बहाने वाली मोदी सरकार सत्ता के नशे में चूर !!
