He’s going into his age 32 season and his body is breaking down. It’s not unfair to handicap that he has 2-3 really highly productive seasons left, with his ability to stay healthy unknown.
It’s a mildly better scenario than what the Sixers have had to judge with Embiid for a while now. The question is what a team is willing to give up given those considerations and the fact that likely you eat several years of the max extension.
