the comparison to "being a fan of a show without watching it" is dumb to me like u guys KNOW its not the same😭even if ur not clicking the buttons yourself, ur still experiencing the game in a way. its not the same as *playing* it but its also not like not watching a show or wtv

i also just dont get this argument from the perspective of fandoms... most people come into fandoms to talk about the story and characters... you may not relate to experiencing the *gameplay* but i dont get how that means you can't talk about the story if you've seen it...

i became an undertale fan as a kid just from watching a playthrough of it, of course i've played it many times since then but before i did, i feel like i could still understand the game just fine... i couldn't relate to like. dying to sans 5000 times but that's kinda it....

people just underestimate other people's ability to obsessively watch many different playthroughs of the same game and research all the possible outcomes and lore etc. i did this with danganronpa when i was a kid and didnt have the means to play the games myself like idk

i think everyone who legitimately thinks a single human deserves 1 trillion dollars doesn't understand just how much money 1 trillion dollars actually is. for reference, you would have to work for 15 million years to acquire such wealth if you earned the national US minimum wage
