APPRECIATION POST! ❤️
As I launch my generative art collection, @lattices_xyz , I'm embracing the legacy of groundbreaking projects like Autoglyph, Ringers, Chromie Squiggles, and Fidenza. These icons have paved the way for computational creativity, proving that structured coding can birth breathtaking art.
Lattices was my passion project back when I was stuck on sprints and deadlines. Something for me to “escape” to sparks back my joy on coding. As an art lover myself, I wondered: how to bridge the worlds of art and code?
Looking back, these works showed us what's possible when code meets creativity. It's not just art, not just code, but both simultaneously.
Hope Lattices will be the proof of what's possible and the start of new era of computational artist!
To everyone who supported this project, I would like to say A HUGE THANK YOU! I wouldn’t be able to mention each of you, but you know who you are.
Final words to those just starting out: Keep doing what you're doing. Don't view your technical knowledge as a constraint, let it fuel your imagination instead.

Today we're making changes to ApeCoin.
Yuga Labs and ApeCo (fka Ape Foundation) coordinate, but operate in parallel. To keep the orgs and leaders in sync, a coordination tax is paid in additional handoffs and added decision-making checkpoints.
This made sense when the lack of regulatory clarity forced crypto to contort into strange formations just to ship.
That era is over, and we need to reset from first principles.
Simpler, with less coordination tax.
Cam helped build and lead ApeCo, and he’s fully aligned with me on this reboot. With the reset, the separate ApeCo lead role no longer makes sense in the same way. Cam is stepping down from that role.
The core ApeChain tech and BD teams will now work directly with Yuga, so the chain and its partners will be well served. Some other members of ApeCo will be departing - they’re really great people and we’re thankful for their hard work. This transition will be complete by June 5th.
ApeCoin should not feel like a separate bet from all the other progress Yuga is making with its brands. Everywhere else we are building holders with real conviction and ApeCoin will be no different.
So I’m currently planning a roadshow in June with key and prospective partners, exchanges, investors, institutions and community members in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taipei and Seoul. We’re going to show up in person and build the relationships that move BAYC, Otherside, and ApeCoin forward together.
This is a first step, but not the only step.

put a DAO in front to advise the Foundation
on how to distribute a token
by voting on different proposals

pure democracy where the richest people have the most votes
and winners get free money?
but at least that’s a reason to buy the token

there are only 46 gold apes
and at this point, it’s very difficult to find an off-market seller willing trade
the lowest listed gold ape is 199 eth ($460k) which is effectively double before @GrailsOTC started 3 weeks ago
bids are rising
but sellers are not budging
digital assets like these have rotated into significantly more diamondhanded positions
for gold apes, not only are sellers not budging
they pretty much don’t exist
we are still working through trippies, 4Ts, blacksuits, admirals coats, kings robes, pimp coats, etc
but overall our goal has been to help facilitate even more off-market inventory rotating into strong collectors
subjective trait-based requests are being facilitated
completionists are trading for full sets
minimalists are trading for clean apes
aesthetics are in control
this is important work because it applies momentum to a quality that is hard to quantify:
collector strength
paired with our progress on IRL events, I firmly believe the sustained pressure we are applying will yield the results everyone is after - a strong Club
on a related note, while the bayc website is deliberately minimal and opaque to the public, we are experimenting with a deeper experience in the members section
there are also other strategies, which i will go over this week, that I believe to be under engaged, but full of potential for the
