$SPCX IPO ends the buyback era. For two decades the market shrank - buybacks, fewer IPOs, companies going back private. Tech giants were asset-light, and often the best use of cash was buying back their own stock. That era ended this week. In the AI season, tech becomes asset-heavy: data centers, Nvidia chips, power plants, rockets.

When all you need is 0.1% equity.
Shocked that she only has 0.1% equity. She joined SpaceX in 2002. I would have expected at least mid single digits, even after dilution.

Right before Fable got banned, I asked it how to make enough money in 10 days so I can afford it after June 22. It recommended a paid course about how to make money with AI. Yes, a perfect recursive loop missing only the Stripe integration. I decided to share it for free.

The biggest short-term winner today is OpenAI. Yesterday, I was about to cancel my Codex subscription.

Since today, every US citizen can have a passive income by renting their Claude account.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

My gf and I are reading Dune aloud, taking turns. One page each. I remember reading aloud together like this as a kid and teenager, as a normal way to spend time. Today it has a countercultural Amish vibe.

Nothing summarizes the magnitude of the AI revolution better than the growing popularity of the expression 'get oneshotted.'

If a human would replace only one transistor in the processor it would make that processor 3 billion times slower*. *A modern transistor switches on the order of once per ~0.3ns. A human flipping a switch can manage maybe one operation per second at best. @elonmusk is right.

Anthropic's branding is top-tier hard sci-fi: Mythos, Project Glasswing, Dario Amodei… who writes this stuff?

I've read OpenAI's manifesto "Built to benefit everyone: our plan," and the first thing I notice is that it's mostly AI-generated. Traditionally, a company using its own tools was a good thing — e.g., Apple filming an ad with the newest iPhone. But it doesn't work here.

In my last Substack post I wrote about how the Mag 7 isn't here forever. It looks like it may be time for MANGOS.

Codex is amazing as a tool inside of Claude Code.

The market when a small company is doing better than Google makes no sense. An index of 500 companies is just a lot of unnecessary noise.

This whole section in the WWDC26 is just applying AI to everything. I did the same in my projects last year. "How can we make it faster?" questions lead to that type of result, and it happens everywhere in the human codebase around the world.

If in 2019 I had known that AI was coming, I would not have started working on Deltabadger, and would have continued buying Bitcoin until the cost of starting a small project effectively dropped to zero. Meanwhile, another week, another power feature - direct indexing is live.

Who is the buyer for 493 companies in the long tail of the S&P 500? Who will buy those stocks when pension funds will start selling?

I run six Nasdaq portfolios. The top 7, 12, and 20 stocks. Each in two allocation variants: mcap based, and equal. What's your prediction? Which one will win?
