I like waking up at 4:30 in the morning. . I get to watch the sun rise and it’s quiet. I don’t like the fact that I’m up is because the pain killers have worn off. Recovering from 2 hip surgeries is slow but coming along.
I have a labrum tear in my hip. I have no cartilage left in my knee. I have Type 2 diabetes. I can’t feel my feet sometimes. But I press on. I’m a leader of a school, an Alternative School. Do I need hip surgery? Yes. Will I miss my school? Yes. It’s about 2 weeks away.
I’ve watched a few World Baseball Classic games and the most glaring thing I’ve seen is the very weak throwing arms of both infielders and outfielders. I had a better arm when I was 10 years old.
So I have 2 doctors who have confirmed a labrum tear. 2 doctors, same office. Same MRIs and X-rays. Yet I’m forced to go to PT starting tomorrow eventhough 2 doctors, TWO!! say it will not help. Make it make sense. Because I do not.
Can someone explain to me how I pay $100s per paycheck for insurance but when I want to use it for the benefit of my health, I have to jump through hoops to get relief from major pain?
To my parents…Happy 58th Wedding Anniversary. Thank you for all the love, listening and push you gave me to make me who I am today. I love you very much.
