I now know how to: - Compile Rust to WASM module. - Load said module in Wasmtime. - Run Rust function from WASM. - Run WASM function from Rust. Invoking the Rust compiler from code is a little awkward, and the compile times & size on disk are high as always.

I got a response - thank goodness - and it looks like I'm going to have to do sandboxing after all. The goal will be to run as much of the game in the sandbox, and do the rest in a privileged process. As soon as I'm able to, I'll write a proof-of-concept.

I know there's a way for moderators to manually let users in. But you try to get in contact with a mod of a huuuge community directly. They have DMs from randoms turned off, for understandable reasons.

I haven't gotten to post about the game engine recently, and while I have little fancy stuff to show, I can still say I made some good progress, some of it on-stream. The Source Generator refactor is done, and my entity inspector can now make use of some new, cool features.

Found a uBlock filter that hides tweets and replies by Twitter Blue users, and gosh, it makes looking at any semi-popular post so much less depressing. old.reddit.com/r/Twitter/com… I know this is just a band-aid until I'm finally ready to escape this place, but it'll do for now.

6 hours of streaming and working and we both made progress on our projects. I finally made progress on my Source Generator regarding parsing / validating the types with my attributes. And Vic has made progress on the "yield from" statement for Princess.

It's been a couple of months, but I was able to pick up the game engine project once again and despite leaving it mid-refactor, made some good progress. Can't wait to get it compiling again to add features (and update to most recent Flecs).
