So everyone was showing off a bunch of sims made with Claude Fable. I thought I'd try too. A year ago I was nerdsniped figuring out how to find a projection function from a point to the screen around a black hole. Couldnt do it before, but Fable just oneshotted it😅
Did you know that the .png format was created out of spite? Or that .jpeg just discards like half of the colours in your image because you won't notice?
To celebrate last week's launch, I published a chapter on image compression.

You have Claude Fable for only a few days. Here's how to make the most of it.
Introducing /improve: use your most capable model to audit your codebase and write plans for cheaper models to execute later.
Studies your code, figures out bugs, perf, tech debt, missing tests, what to build and writes plans any agent can run.
Exploring the fusion cycle in my simulator as heavier elements get formed. Simplified model involving: hydrogen, helium, carbon, oxygen, neon, magnesium, silicon, sulfur, argon, calcium, titanium, chromium, iron
Updated so different materials/reactions will have different color flames (e.g. chlorine, sodium, potassium, copper). Working on adding more realistic handling of ions soon.
The fact that my central star radiates is crazy! Having multiple planetoids orbit naturally and being able to see their elemental makeup... such an incredible sim. Scratches my brain in a really fun way. 😄🌞

A deep dive into a topic I wanted to explore for a long time: how to render a realistic sky and atmosphere
I explore everything from simulating the interaction of light with air, to handling sunsets, all in real-time, from ground to space

What an incredible sim! I've been following your work for a bit and it's so damn impressive. I appreciate you putting this out for others to mess with. It got addictive trying to figure out how to get larger masses to develop and maintain cohesion. Also fun to create cool pics!
🚨 UPDATE: Mini Shai-Hulud has crossed from @npmjs into @pypi and is still spreading.
Newly confirmed compromised artifacts:
@opensearch-project/opensearch: 3.5.3, 3.6.2, 3.7.0, 3.8.0 (1.3M weekly downloads)
mistralai: 2.4.6 on PyPI
guardrails-ai: 0.10.1 on PyPI
additional @squawk/* packages on npm
guardrails-ai 0.10.1 executes malicious code on import. On Linux, it downloads git-tanstack[.]com/transformers.pyz, writes it to /tmp/transformers.pyz, and runs it with python3 without integrity verification.
The git-tanstack.com domain displayed a message signed “With Love TeamPCP,” along with: “We've been online over 2 hours now stealing creds
Regardless I just came to say hello :^)”
The page also linked to a YouTube video and you can probably guess which one.
When the sim is allowed to settle a bit, rounder planetoids are able to form.
Still a long way to go, but here is my PoC that runs in the web browser to test multithreaded WebAssembly.
